The Value of Being in a Community

Although many people may take it for granted, being a part of a community should be valued. There are many types of communities you may be a part of. Whether you’re a part of a church community, a school community, a camp community, or your neighborhood community, you may not realize the importance of being a part of a community.

If you think about it a community is like a well-oiled machine because a community consists of many different parts all working together. For example, community is made up of students, teachers, a principal, and extra staff members. However, imagine the community without the teachers, then who would teach? If there was no principal, then no one would be able to set rules for the school. If one piece is missing, then the community may not be able to function properly.

In my opinion, one of the most important qualities of a community is watching out for the other members in the community. One of the best ways to do this is by doing community service and giving back to your community. Whether you choose to help out at an animal shelter or a soup kitchen giving back to your community is definitely important and brings a sense of unity to the community.

In conclusion, I definitely think that a community should be highly valued. In a community, you can learn new things, make connections with people, and learn how to give back. Personally, I don’t know where I would be if I wasn’t a part of the communities that I was a part of! All in all, being a part of a community is both important and beneficial.

    Great piece of writing Alex.
I wonder if you could find an image and a link to another website that relates to community. This would make the post more interesting to your readers.

You have a plugin called Compfight which will search for images to use in your blog. You should find it in the post writing area just above the icons.
